Mission statement
Deliver continuous professional development to military caterers, in support of education and training within the trade, by empowering individuals and providing the necessary resources and qualifications. Thereby, achieving excellence through effective qualification delivery through standardisation, communication, management and networking within the trade.
The Army Catering Training Trust (ACTT) was established in late 1997 to receive, manage and use externally provided funds in support of Apprenticeship Programme Qualifications and CPD schemes for the Chef Career Employment Group (CEG) personnel. ACTT is a registered charity (number 1197606), and operates from the Catering Training Wing, Defence Logistic School (DLS). The Managing Trustee of the ACTT Board of Trustees is Jamie Webb-Fryer. The trust board contains individuals from both military catering backgrounds as well as the wider education and training business community.
The ACTT is currently a member of the Apprenticeship Provider and Assessment Register delivering Apprenticeship Assessments for the Production and Senior Production Chef Standards, as well as the Facilities Management Supervisor standard. The ACTT is also an approved centre, with the Royal Society for Public Health, for the delivery of Nutrition Qualifications, at Levels 2 / 3 / 4.
